Secure 2FA Login Now Available at XTB. The Broker Is Preparing More New Features

The largest Polish broker, XTB, announced the introduction of two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into the xStation investment platform. This update increases the level of protection of investor funds and prepares XTB for further product innovations.

The introduction of 2FA is one of the elements of XTB's product plan for this year, increasing user security and preparing the platform for the implementation of a virtual wallet with a multi-currency card. The activation of this function for Polish customers is planned for several stages, which will last a total of four weeks.

Poland is the first market to implement two-factor login authentication. By the end of October, this functionality will be launched on all other XTB markets.

- The security of our users' funds is a priority, which is why introducing 2FA was a key element in the implementation of our product roadmap for 2024. This feature paves the way for further implementations that bring us closer to our goal of creating a financial management application that will be the first choice for customers in Europe – says Omar Arnaout, president of the management board of XTB.

Logging in using 2FA on the XTB platform and application will take place using SMS messages. A one-time password will be sent after the user successfully logs in to their account using their email and password. Users will be able to bypass this option if they add the device they are logging in from to their trusted list. You will be able to have a maximum of 10 devices on this list.

The intensive expansion of XTB's offer, combined with a favorable market situation, has a positive impact on the company's results. In the first half of 2024, XTB acquired over 232 thousand new customers. Meanwhile, the net profit of the Polish fintech in this period exceeded PLN 463 million.

No bonds for now

Unfortunately, at the same time we have bad news for people who were waiting for the XTB bonds to enter the offer. For now, this part of the plans has been suspended, as we mentioned it already in mid-August. Whether and when bonds will be put back on the list of targets for implementation? It is not known.
