#4 Well spent. About money and economics. January 11 in Poznań

On a daily basis, we can be ignorant in many areas of science and it will not significantly affect the quality of our lives. After all, detailed knowledge of botany, physics or chemistry is not needed to perform everyday duties. In the case of economics, however, the situation is different. This is not only about entrepreneurs or stock market investors, but about ordinary Kowalski, who constantly takes specific financial actions and influences the environment with his own decisions, e.g. elections. That is why everyone should understand the basic economic and economic processes, so that thanks to this knowledge they can consciously improve the quality of their lives and the environment in which they operate.

We invite you to the fourth meeting in the series Well spent. On money and economy - an event promoting and educating in the field of economics, finance and investing. This time we will focus on the issues of wealth: its distribution in societies, historical changes and its impact on our living space. In addition, Dr. Wojciech Świder will summarize the most important economic events of recent times so that we can better understand what awaits us in 2023 and how to prepare for it.

Topics that will be discussed during the two-hour meeting:

• how to define and measure wealth;
• how the relationship between the poor and the rich has changed over the centuries and in individual countries;
• are we getting richer or are we getting poorer? Inequality is increasing or decreasing?;
• recent summary economic events.

Speakers at the meeting

dr hab. Magdalena Knapinska – professor at the University of Economics in Poznań, member of the PUE Program Council. He specializes in macroeconomics, the labor market, and also deals with the issues of European integration and managerial economics. Author of academic textbooks, numerous scientific publications and a reviewer in many scientific journals. An active participant in international economic conferences.

Dr. Wojciech Świder - lecturer at the Department of Public Finance at the University of Economics in Poznań. A securities broker with the license to provide investment advisory services (3034). Promoter of knowledge about finance and economics - he runs his own YouTube channel and the blog "Wojciech Świder - economics, investments".
