BitTorrent (BTT) - $ 7,2M raised in 13 minutes
BitTorrent is a cryptocurrency that was created to facilitate settlements for p2p file exchange. It is also supposed to encourage their sharing, because most people prefer to download data rather than allow others to use their resources. Thanks to BTT, this can pay off. And it is also the authors who, unfortunately, are most often - unfortunately - in a lost position in the fight against sharing their works.

We continue our series of descriptions of the most popular and interesting cryptocurrencies. Today it's time for BitTorrent, which is to be a remedy for illegal file sharing on the Internet, and - paradoxically - a possibility for the rapid development of this market. It is a token in blockchain technologywhich was built on the Tron platform. Ultimately, it is to be fully integrated with it and be part of the so-called Internet 3.0, and initially was intended primarily for people who share files on the Internet and creators who will be able to earn money through it on the production of films, music videos, photos, e-books or other materials.
Thanks to BTT, everyone can earn on it. The network, existing since 2001, has over 100 million active users. The problem and the biggest limitation in its development, however, is the fact that the vast majority of files made available within it are pirated copies, primarily of movies and other works covered by copyright. However, the ability to legally earn money from sharing files - including by creators - can change that, however.
A quarter is too long
The BitTorrent project shocked the world not only of cryptocurrencies, when on January 28.01.2019, 7,2 an ICO was conducted to raise funds to start the BTT token. $ 13 million was accumulated in just 25 minutes and XNUMX seconds, and it would have been much faster had it not been for the platform Binance Launchpad could not withstand the siege of interested parties and crashed several times during this time. Clogging of servers resulted in users being logged out. Those, however, were awarded after this event. All those who could not make a purchase received 5. BTT tokens for free. Thus, almost 60 billion tokens hit the market. Ultimately, there will be 990 billion of them. They are to be a reward not only for people who share files, but also the foundations of a completely decentralized Internet 3.0.
How the BitTorrent (BTT) token works
There is always asymmetry in the file sharing process. In short, people prefer to download files rather than share them. They only leave the computers on while they download the files. Then they either disable them or disable the mere option to share what they have on the disk. Users who act differently - i.e. leave the option to download files also from them, will receive BTT tokens for it. Just like the creators who will share their creations via BitTorrent Speed feature, which will also significantly speed up the download, of course for an additional fee. Through BTT, it will also be possible to pay for access to the cloud in which it will be possible to collect and archive data.
