About the author

Andre Kostolany was born in Budapest. Initially, he studied philosophy and art history there, but his father forced him to leave the university. He sent him to Paris to work as a stockbroker where he eventually began his career as a speculator and arbitrator. He managed to make a profit during the fall in prices that began in late 1929. His fame is based on the vast amount of practical experience he has accumulated during his 70-year career in various industries in many markets around the world.
