Dukascopy adds cryptocurrency CFDs on MetaTrader 4

The Swiss capital group Dukascopy Group announced on June 21, 2021 about extending the offer on the MetaTrader 4 platform by kryptowaluty. From now on, customers using the popular MT4 can trade on Bitcoinie, Ethereum and Litecoin. The new instruments are available both at Dukascopy Bank and in Dukascopy Europe.

Cryptocurrencies on MT4 are a rarity!

Even though the MetaTrader 4 platform has been around for years, it is still very popular among traders. Only recently, i.e. 11 years after the premiere of her younger brother - MetaTrader 5 - the number of users was greater than on the "old product" MetaQuotes.

Cryptocurrencies in the Dukascopy offer have been available for several years, although so far they could only be traded on the proprietary platform JForex. So why is it worth mentioning the fact of adding them now on MT4? Well, it is a unique rarity among Forex brokers. In recent months, an even opposite tendency was visible, where brokers were withdrawing cryptocurrency instruments from the MetaTrader 4 offer (eg LMAX, Conotoxia), referring to the technical aspects.

All three cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, and LTC) are traded in tandem with the US dollar. As with JForex, the leverage offered will depend on the regulation. At Dukascopy Bank (Switzerland), the leverage is 1: 5, at Dukascopy Europe (Latvia) 1: 2. The new instruments are now available on both the demo account and the real account.
