In short, Golem is to be a decentralized supercomputer, using the computing power of computers and servers connected to it. However, users will not share accommodation, but the computing power of their computers, and ultimately also graphics cards.

Each sharing of computing power will be automatically priced and rewarded in block-based GNT tokens Ethereum. This is to be an alternative to the clouds offered by Microsoft Azure and Amazon Cloud. But why would someone need so much computing power? Contrary to appearances, it is also useful for individual users - for example during scientific calculations, rendering graphics and 3D models or in all aspects of machine learning.

The benefits are therefore mutual - providers of computing power earn by making it available, and buyers do not have to invest a lot of money, e.g. for one-time operation.
