IC Markets becomes a sponsor of Inter Milan

An international broker IC Markets became the official sponsor of Inter Milan players playing Serie A. For a small logo on the sleeves of players' shirts, currently occupying second place in the Italian Premier League, you have to pay 10 million euros a year.

IC Markets is an Australian broker that has been operating since 2007. Uses STP / ECN modelwhich means that the transactions made through it are directed to the real market - unlike many brokers who "bet" with their clients and earn when they lose. However, this is not the only reason why it is popular all over the world. He gained fame mainly after the introduction of regulations ESMA, which limited the possibility of leveraging companies from Europe.

Millions of euros on the players' jerseys

The company has now decided on advertising in Italy. Logo IC Markets It will be visible on the sleeves of the shirts of Inter Milan players - currently the second club of the Italian Premier League, regularly fighting for the highest positions in the domestic league, and also playing in the elite Champions League.

The contract has been signed for a year and will be valid until the end of the 2020/2021 season. According to Italian media, IC Markets will pay 10 million euros for this form of advertising. A lot? Not necessarily, if we take into account other, similar agreements of Italian Serie A clubs. Most of them do not belong to the top leaders and cannot boast of a history marked by great successes of Sassuolo. Mapei pays this team as much as 18 million euros for the season on shirts, but it has exclusivity for it. Undoubtedly the best in Italy and the leading club of the whole Europe and the world - Juventus Turin - receives 17 million euros from the Jeep, but the amount increases with each trophy won. AC Milan receives EUR 14 million from Fly Emirates airline advertising its t-shirts, and AS Roma receives EUR 11 million from Qatar Airways and EUR 3 million from Hyundai. Inter has so far been able to count on EUR 10,5 million from Pirelli, but the contract is now expiring after 25 years of cooperation.

IC Markets focuses on sport

IC Markets broker so far he has not conducted any marketing activities in this field. He was not visible at all during sports events. Now he announces that he will use the possibility of placing advertisements in all communication channels of the club - both traditional and online. He also wants to develop cooperation with fans and other partners of the club. The company assumes that this will translate into an increase in the number of its clients not only among Inter Milan fans, which will directly increase turnover and profits.

Brokers and football at its best

This is not the first broker that has committed funds to promote a football team. In 2017, Blackwell Global signed a sponsorship agreement with Everton from the English Premiership - then it had only been operating on the British, Cypriot, Australian and New Zealand markets for a year.

Earlier, another club from the English Premier League - Watford FC, which was associated with the broker, concluded a sponsorship agreement. FxPro, until now sponsoring the AS Monaco from the French league.

Another club from the English league - West Ham - cooperated with two brokers. They were sponsored by both Hantec Markets and Scope Markets.

In 2017, the broker also sponsored one of the best and most recognizable football teams in the world - Real Madrid. The "Królewscy" team then associated with Exness for at least three seasons. The contract is still in force.

However, the interest of brokers in football teams should not come as a surprise. The data shows that approx. 95% of traders are men - the same is true for football fans.
