Everyone has heard about some of them, but some are not widely known, even in a small group of financial experts. They have one thing in common: they easily earn millions of dollars every year, some for several decades - regardless of the economic situation. How is it done? Jacek D. Schwager's interlocutors do not have many secrets and are willing to share their strategies. Will you be able to use them in practice?

Jack D. Schwager has published another book ("Masters of Financial Markets"), which you can read in two evenings and it will definitely be an interesting time. The author of the bestseller "Market Wizards" ("Market Wizards") writes books that are so easy to read because they are preceded by almost titanic work. 

This time, he conducted interviews with the best - in his opinion - traders from each market. He has spoken to both stock market players, option traders, forex and index speculators and even investors who focus on buying mutual fund units and earn huge money from it.

He doesn't pretend to be smarter than he is, he doesn't talk about the millions he has earned and the brilliant moves that made him rich. No, Jack D. Schwager has no qualms about admitting that he works full-time and that he spent all his spare funds on building the house of his dreams.

He does not pretend to be a miracle worker, but for such - no doubt! - most of his interlocutors can be considered. The author admits directly that the material is highly selected, because little has come out of some of the interviews. If someone wanted to be mysterious, he was evasive, he simply did not make it into the book. 

Thanks to this, we will find out, for example, who had the most screens displaying live markets in every room of the company and home, and even in the toilet at eye level. We will read why the loss of USD 18 million can be considered a success and we will consider whether we would think the same, knowing that a moment earlier the same position on the account threatened with a loss of USD 90 million.

There is, of course, comforting information as well. For example, a story about a trader who made a mistake in the option order. Thanks to this, others could earn millions from it. But not everyone was tempted. One of the interlocutors even withdrew almost all orders and informed the trader about it. The Goldman Sachs financiers were not so chivalrous. The paths of this unfortunate man and the representatives of Goldman Sachs then crossed for many years. Who lost more from it? You will learn from the book 🙂 

Just like the fact that sometimes only one word of politics decides the fate of a transaction. And USD 10 million disappears from the account in 10 seconds ... For many people, the beginnings of the best traders in the world will also be interesting, about half of whom had nothing to do with finance or mathematics before. Jack D. Schwager - about the author

He was born on June 27, 1948 in Antwerp, Belgium, but grew up in the USA, where he lives to this day. He holds a BA in Economics from Brooklyn College and an MA in Economics from Brown University. 

He is considered an expert mainly in futures contracts and hedge funds. He founded, inter alia, Fund Seeder platform (FundSeeder.com), which was used to search for financial talents and associate them with companies from the industry. In his CV, he also holds the position of a partner at the Fortune Group investment firm in 2001-2010, where he dealt with hedge funds. For 22 years he has served as the director of futures contracts for a number of Wall Street companies, most recently Prudential Securities.

On the publishing market, he is best known for a series of books with interviews with the greatest stars of the stock exchange world: "Stock Market Wizards", "Hedge Fund Market Wizards" and "The Little Book of Market Wizards". The book "Market Sense and Nonsense", which was a kind of compendium of incorrect investment strategies, also caused a lot of movement.

He also regularly attends lectures on investment errors, as well as specialist seminars and training courses for hedge fund and investment account managers.
