What is MQL4?

MQL4 (MetaQuotes Language 4) is a programming language designed for the MetaTrader 4 platform. It is a language quite similar to the popular C, but has its own specificity and is enriched with "trading" functions. Thanks to this, the user gets the opportunity to create his own indicators, scripts and automatic strategies (Expert Advisor).

MQL4 and types of tools

Non-standard indicators enable the analysis of the price (or its derivatives) and presenting it in any form, according to the preferences of the creator of a given indicator. Thanks to the possibility of editing existing indicators, you can add notifications or audible alarms, e.g. in the case of a price cut by a moving average.

With the help of scripts, you can easily and quickly perform a one-time action on the account. We can, for example, make block trades on a certain number of instruments with a certain volume or close all open positions with one click. After the script executes the command, it is automatically deleted and the entire action is completed.
