Kanga Exchange on the list of warnings - KNF specifies the reasons for the entry

At that moment, the only official reason was the notification regarding the suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 178 of the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments. In connection with the KNF announcement, representatives of the Kanga brand prepared a statement, which we also published.

Unofficial reasons already official

In the previous article, we mentioned the unofficial reason for the entry. It was supposed to be an abuse of the wording "KNF approvals" for the Kang project related to the marketing of the stablecoin Omega (OmegaCoins, OmegaPLN, OmegaEUR, OmegaUSD). These assumptions were confirmed yesterday.

Jacek Barszczewski, Director of the Social Communication Department of the PFSA Office, who is also the spokesperson of the PFSA / UKNF, published a letter on his Twitter account, which was sent to Good Investments Ltd and BSSILTD.

The letter reads:

"Information on the website about the alleged" approval of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority "creates a false impression that the business model of the entity has been approved by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and guarantees full security."

At the same time, the UKNF called for the removal of this fragment from the Kanga Exchange website, which, however, only happened yesterday. The entire Omega stablecoin subpage has been disabled.

The more puzzling is the fragment of Kang's statement earlier, namely:

7. We also draw attention to the fact that none of the entities has received an official notification from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority or the prosecutor's office about the pending proceedings.
