Social Trading with ZuluTrade - profits slow down. Week # 2 [TEST]

created David BurdaApril 20 2020

Behind us another week of testing the social trading platform ZuluTrade. After the first nice week in which we recorded a profit in the amount of 9%, i.e. USD 450,56 (including loss positions totaling only USD -30,01). The time has come to sum up the next period. There are still five signal providers in our portfolio (the list can be found in the following link with a summary of the first week) and so far it remains. We have a lot of open positions and the remaining margin level does not leave too much room for new suppliers.

ZuluTrade - Summary of First Test Week - CHECK

How are ZuluTrade traders doing?

Already on the previous weekend, 8 traders were left with one trader, which at the time was on a total loss of -66,21 USD. From Monday, our supplier continued to take positions in the same direction. Now it has 15 open positions, all on a total loss of -266,02 USD. Another trader stayed with 10 positions for the weekend on a total loss of -212,96 USD. The last one, because only three out of five did not finish trading before closing the market on Friday, has 4 positions open, of which two are in the plus. In total, the total loss on these items is -7,11 USD.

As long as all positions are open, we are in the game. Suppliers did not use any of the rescue strategies or even hedging lossy positions except one, which saved the situation in this way and closed all transactions in the black.

Summary of the XNUMXnd week in numbers

Currency pairs on which transactions were concluded last week:

  • EUR / USD
  • USD / JPY
  • GBP / USD
  • NZD / USD
  • AUD / USD
  • EUR / GBP
  • AUD / JPY
  • EUR / NZD

Most transactions were carried out on EUR / USD and the pair's share of account history dropped from 55% to 39%.

Summary of the XNUMXnd week of the test in numbers:

  • Total Profit 254,9 USD, which is 4,7% profit
  • 29 positions remain open for a total loss -486,09 USD,
  • 145 profitable positions were realized, including 33 lossy positions,
  • The sum of closed negative positions was -84,32 USD.

zulutrade test 2

Current account balance since the start of the test:

  • Total profit 705,46 USD, which gives a level of return of 14%,
  • The sum of all losses  -114,33 USD,
  • 317 closed positions - 274 profitable and 43 lossy,
  • 29 active items with a balance sheet -486,09 USD.

Summation

The result from last week could certainly be higher. However, due to the large number of lossy and previously opened positions, our suppliers were somewhat blocked, and new ones we could not really give a chance. As long as we're in the game, we can't finally talk about loss. It is true that the profit is almost twice lower than open minus positions. The new week should give us the answer whether it ends optimistically or some reduction in the balance. Due to the large number of open positions, the supplier ranking will be presented once this situation has been clarified, so that the statistics are complete and authoritative.

14% in two weeks. Good score. May these losses be managed.

I am very curious about the summary in 1, 2 or even 3 months. I try my strength in etoro and with varying degrees of success. Unfortunately, suppliers can fly in a waffle and, for example, do not open anything or play a little rationally (in my opinion at least). but if you hit someone, you can earn zarob
