Detailed account history on MetaTrader 4

created Paweł MosionekNovember 5 2015

The MT4 platform is an integral part of trading for many traders. No wonder, it is intuitive, transparent, and at the same time offers a whole spectrum of possibilities. One of the interesting features is the insight into a more advanced history of orders, which transparently projects a deeper picture of what was happening on our account. Standard MetaTrader 4 account history is available in the third tab terminal only gives us a list of closed transactions with their details. MT4 allows you to save this history in the form of a separate file, but also has the option of saving a detailed report with many interesting additional data.

The problem is that the report is almost entirely in English (even though the language on the platform changes to Polish) and many of the phrases sound extremely enigmatic or deceptively similar. This article will dispel your doubts and teach you to read it properly.

How to save the transaction history

To generate a report in a separate file, go to the tab in the Terminal Account historyand then right-click on any item. Function Save the report will allow us to save the story in the basic form. After clicking and choosing a location, we automatically open a new file in .html format.

Option Save the detailed report creates a different file that is enriched with things like:

  • graphic depicting the capital curve,
  • additional statistical data.

The capital curve

The graphic on the horizontal (x) axis numbers the transactions, and the vertical (y) axis numbers the account balance. herself curve it is based on the balance of closed positions, so it does not include open positions and what happened before they were closed (e.g. capital retirement).
