The Forex ECN network in May recorded an increase in turnover
The three leading Forex ECN networks presented their trading results for May 2017 - each of them saw an improvement in their results.
Hotspot FX - 1% increase
The increase relative to April is symbolic but it did take place. Turnover amounted to 28,1 billion, or 1 billion $ ADV (Average Daily Volume - average daily turnover). It should be remembered that in May we had two stock exchange sessions that would probably improve this result. On May 1, European and some Asian markets rested from trade, and on May 29, the USA.
May was the third month in which Hotspot FX was already operating under the name of the new owner of CBOE Holdings. (company listed on NASDAQ: CBOE). CBOE acquired shares in Hotspot FX from Bats Global at the end of February. The transaction amount was 3,2 billion.
FastMatch - 18% up
FastMatch recorded a sensational result, which improved turnover by as much as 18% compared to April 2017 and amounted to $ 22,5 billion. Thus, it was a record month in the company's history. It is also the first time that the $ 20 billion mark has been exceeded (the previous record was March 2017 and $ 19,2 billion).
FastMatch has three owners - Global Brokerage (NASDAQ listed company), Credit Suisse and BNY Mellon Corp ..
GTX - 9% more than in April
GTX, the institutional part of the Gain Capital broker (known from Forex.com), saw a 9% month-to-month turnover increase in May. It is true that the record for the record result from March this year was not exceeded. ($ 339 billion) but the result is still outstanding at $ 306,5 billion ($ 280.7 billion in April). The Daily Average Volume (ADV) was $ 13,3 billion.
