Since the end of last year gas prices in the United States have been gradually increasing, responding to the increased demand resulting from the extreme frosts that hit North America. However, meteorologists predict that in the following days the temperature in the northern part of the United States will slowly normalize and will exceed the zero mark at the end of January. Changeable weather, changeable gas prices

The first weeks of winter in the United States were not much different from late autumn. The average temperature in New York remained around +5 degrees Celsius, and in mid-December it reached almost 18 degrees Celsius. The warm winter was not favorable to prices natural gas, which have been in a clear downward trend since the end of October. The situation changed with the arrival of bitter frost and snowstorms, which partially paralyzed the eastern coast of the United States and pushed NATGAS prices to around USD 3,30. However, this situation appears to be temporary, and long-term weather forecasts already indicate that temperatures will likely return above freezing. Are the declines in natural gas prices that started this week just a correction or the beginning of a longer trend?
