Bitcoin remains in the first place among Polish investors

created Simon petersJuly 20 2022

Despite the market opposition in 2022, the number eToro users owning the world's largest cryptocurrency in the second quarter increased by 17 percent. This suggests that individual investors remain committed to the token for a long period of time. Ethereum gained 8%, thereby beating Cardano on the second place. Cardano's results increased by less than one percent, leaving it in third place in the top ten most-held cryptocurrencies among Polish users.

  • Bitcoin remains the most widely owned cryptocurrency on the eToro platform. Right behind it are Ether and Cardano
  • Shiba - previously out of the rankings - moves to sixth place
  • Solana jumps to the top ten most frequently owned cryptocurrencies in Poland

Simon Peters, cryptocurrency analyst at eToro comments:

“It cannot be denied that the cryptocurrency market has experienced difficult times in the last quarter. However, Polish investors on eToro are showing their resilience while maintaining their faith in cryptocurrencies with the greatest potential and market capital, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. "

Fantom and GALA on the wave

Looking at the cryptocurrencies with the largest increase in holders during Q2022, it can be seen that the list is dominated by the DeFi Fantom and Gala blockchain platform. Then, we see strong market entrances, as was the case with Avalanche. All of the ten fastest growing openings on the eToro platform in QXNUMX XNUMX were new entrants.

On the other hand, among the biggest decreases were Enjin (-10%), Chiliz (-6%) and TRON (-5%). However, overall, investors around the world remain positive about the cryptocurrency market. The number of cryptocurrencies that saw an increase in open positions was 34 - against the 24 cryptocurrencies that saw a decline.

Peters adds:

"Cryptocurrency Valuation they are certainly understated and it is impossible to say when the collapse will end. Prices followed stocks, which increasingly reflected rate hikes and a possible recession. However, new investors still emerge buying a lot of cryptocurrencies and many others who are still holding stocks. This shows that the future of this market still looks promising in the eyes of retail investors. "
