Bitcoin will pay for auctions on eBay. BTC close to 8000 $

This is not official information yet, but eBay, the global hegemon in online auctions, has just admitted that it is close to implementing fees for purchased items in the world's most recognizable cryptocurrency - Bitcoinach. In Poland, a pizza can be ordered for a cryptocurrency.

This surprising news spread during the industry conference Consensus 2019. This is where eBay set up banners advertising the platform, which included the password: "Virtual Currency. It's happening on eBay. "

eBay, which has over million users worldwide, over 180 (I estimate that every third has made at least one transaction in the last month) is looking for new outlets and wants to reach the younger generation. The competition is pushing hard on the platform, especially from China. The rash of new online stores, stimulated by the growing profits of the e-commerce market, is also significant. Today, there are practically no large players who only trade in stationary stores, even the most conservative ones have decided to enter the network. Not to mention smaller, niche companies, often focused on the individual requirements of the most demanding consumers. The fight for the client is therefore entering a new level.

Bitcoins through the intermediary

Everything indicates that eBay will work with an intermediary who supports payments in cryptocurrencies. Australian magazine "Micky" claims that it will be Utrust platform. Thanks to this, eBay would not be involved directly in trading in cryptocurrencies, because it would pay the intermediary's currency for the service. Also, he would take on the entire risk of transactions related to the trading of Bitcoins. This information is even more probable that Sanja Kon, former director of eBay and PayPal, is currently working at Utrust.

Bitcoin Pizza Day 22 May

Meanwhile, we are celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day next week. This is an anniversary commemorating the event of May 22, 2010. It was on this day that a cryptocurrency group, unknown to the general public, made the first "real transaction" for Bitcoin. Laszlo Hanyecz, bought two pizzas for which he paid 10 Bitcoins.
