Black Parrot Limited is suspected of committing an offense under Art. 178 of the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments. This article talks about conducting brokerage activities without the permission of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Moreover, the KNF chairman announced that he had joined the procedure, which had already been initiated by another entity.
The company itself is well known to our law enforcement authorities. Brands belong to it Vortex Assets, MIB 700 and CFD 1000 which have been on the infamous KNF list for a year now. At the beginning of April we informed about detaining suspectswho deceived about 350 investors for the amount of over PLN 18 million. About 20 people have (for now) been detained as suspects and are awaiting further steps in custody.
The scale of the operation is staggering. According to the findings of Puls Biznesu, most of the detained people are residents of Wołomin, associated with Amplio Investments (AI). AI was a company dedicated to the "call center" campaign, which operated in the A Catalina Office Center in Warsaw, in an office with an area of 650 sq.m.. It was from there that the employees would call potential customers trying to get them into private investments. Earlier, in the hands of the police, he fell among others An Israeli, using a false passport from Guatemala, who was supposed to be the head of the whole undertaking.
Most of the money raised from investors has never been invested in any assets. The cash was cyclically transferred to the bank accounts of other companies based in Israel, Dominica or Seychelles. At this stage of the case, it is difficult to determine what are the chances of recovering funds by the victims.
