The term Brexitu extended. However, there will be no referendum.
Brexit especially in March became an exceptionally loud topic. In the past few weeks, it has caused more and more uncertainty at the pact, which was finally to end with 29 in March (the official deadline for the UK to leave the European Union.) In the final vote on extending the deadline, only two voices decided to postpone it.
When will the final separation of the UK with the EU take place?
As I mentioned above, the British government with a very slight advantage ruled for the postponement of the date of departure from the EU. We are currently hearing about two indicative dates. The first is planned for June, the second (proposed by the Therese May bonus) is to be simply an unspecified date that will allow you to negotiate the best conditions. A representative of the UK government will have to try to organize new and reliable talks with representatives of the Union in order to reach a final settlement with them. The matter is additionally exacerbating and complicating May's choices, which in fact will also affect the UK.
There will be no referendum
In addition to the vote on the extension of the deadline, there were also another ones aimed at re-conducting the referendum of the UK exit from the Union. This application, however, was rejected in relation 85 to 334 votes. However, the amendment by Lucy Powell, who postulated that the parliament would take over Brexit, was rejected by votes - 311 in favor, and 314 against.
Uncertainty in the parliament does not translate significantly into a pound
Despite the fact that the British currency today recorded a slight devaluation, it did not significantly affect the decisions of the UK parliament. On the contrary, it remains stable against mixed events around Brexit. Volatility did not reflect (contrary to analysts' expectations) uncertainty related to the separation of the UK and the EU. In the case of GBP / PLN the exchange rate remained at the local maxima.
