Polish cryptocurrency exchange BitBay introduced the possibility of trading cryptocurrencies chainlink (LINK) and Maker (MKR) in pairs with the Polish zloty.

"From yesterday on licensed in Estonia BitBay exchange two new markets are available. The platform team decided to meet the users' expectations and introduce the possibility of trading Chainlink and Maker cryptocurrencies in pairs to our native currency - we read in the BitBay announcement.

Both cryptocurrencies have been available on the stock exchange a long time ago, they debuted over 12 months ago, on August 1, 2019 to be exact. However, they have been traded in pairs with major currencies and cryptocurrencies. Now you can buy them directly for PLN.

Chainlink in particular has recently become very popular, increasing by 120% in the last month, and already by 612% during the year. With a capitalization of over $ 6,2 billion, it is already in fifth place among all cryptocurrencies. Maker went up more than 45% in the last month, taking advantage of the good sentiment on the wide cryptocurrency market.

Poles can more easily invest in cryptocurrencies

It is a tribute to the ever faster growing Polish market. Earlier, BitBay made available deposits that can be made with a card in Polish zlotys. Although a commission is still charged for each deposit, which is 2,99% of the deposited amount (not less than PLN 10 or EUR 2,50), but it is undoubtedly a convenience for investors in Poland.

According to research, already 600 Poles are in possession of cryptocurrencies. Most of them are young people aged 25-35 and well educated. As much as 90 percent of them are men. In Poland, cryptocurrencies are mainly used for investment purposes. They are still not used in everyday transactions, which is changing rapidly abroad. In the USA, you pay with cryptocurrencies, including for services, and in Venezuela - betting on the national cryptocurrency Petro - even pensions are paid there. You can pay with cryptocurrencies, among others taxes or any other official levy.

Still, most people, and more and more institutions, invest their financial surpluses in cryptocurrencies, believing that digital assets based on blockchain technology will be valued much higher in the future.
