Coinroom - Another cryptocurrency exchange on the KNF's list of warnings
Today, another Polish entity related to the cryptocurrency market has been added to the list of public warnings of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority - Coinroom Spółka z oo with its seat in Warsaw, owner of the Coinroom.com website.
Coinroom on the "black list"
Just four days ago we informed about placing the BitMarket24 exchange on the KNF list. Today it went to Coinroom, and thus it is the third Polish cryptocurrency exchange against which the Commission warns. The reasons are the same as in the case of the predecessors and relate to the objection under Art. 150 (1) of the Act on Payment Services:
Whoever, without being entitled, conducts business in the provision of payment services or in the issuance of electronic money, is liable to a fine of PLN 5.000.000 or imprisonment for years 2, or both of these penalties jointly.
Placing the above-mentioned entity on the list also means that a notification has been made to the prosecutor's office regarding the commission of a crime.
On its website, the company offers the possibility of exchanging cryptocurrencies - both the most popular (BTC, BCC, ETH, LTC, DASH) and more niche ones. In total, users have access to over 20 different virtual coins.
The question is no longer "Is the KNF starting the fight against crypto entities?"Only "Who's next?".
