Is this a recession already? [Video comment]

created Forex ClubJune 27 2022

The past week was marked by increased volatility and also - some rebound in the equity markets. Main stock indices bounce off recent lows in reaction to weaker than expected PMI readings. Economic activity in the United States is declining, meanwhile investors have again started to treat the worse data as a buying opportunity, in the hope of changing the current Federal Reserve rate. This is not a completely impossible scenario - a lot will depend on the condition of the US labor market in the future - but last week Jerome Powell admitted to Congress how wrong the Fed was in its forecasts.

It seems that the US central bank will do whatever it takes to contain inflation in the economy - even if it meant a continuation of declines in the stock markets. Is the risk of a recession in the United States really that high? What to choose in such a scenario - stocks or the recently overrated commodity market? What's next for gas prices?

Recession? What about raw material prices?

We invite you to another webinar with a Raw Material Market Analyst XTB Michał Stajniak, in which he will answer the title question - is it already a recession?

In today's episode:

  • Will the United States enter a technical recession?
  • The commodity market or the stock market?
  • What's next for gas prices?
