IC Markets sponsors six Bundesliga football clubs

A sponsorship agreement with the leading club of the Italian, English and French league or the Polish champion Legia Warszawa - this is what the world's brokers have recently boasted about. Broker from Australia has just announced that he is becoming a sponsor of as many as six leading clubs of the German Bundesliga, whose star is Robert Lewandowski.

IC Markets it is one of the greatest Forex brokers, CFDs, Currencies, Commodities, Indices and Cryptocurrencies around the world. At the beginning of March 2021, he published financial results, which show that in March this year alone, the turnover reached a gigantic amount of USD 1,04 trillion. This is a record in the company's history and everything indicates that it is not the only one. In the first quarter of this year, IC Markets had USD 2,84 trillion in turnover, which is 19% more than in the first quarter of 2020. So it can also set an annual record. The product offer is growing all the time, including the dynamically developing cryptocurrency market. 

Part of the profits is increased by the marketing budget, and it is not known from today that sports fans and brokers' clients are often a strongly overlapping group. Hence the fashion among brokers for sponsoring sports teams. 

Ads in stadiums, uniforms and on the Internet

That's why IC Markets just boasted about signing another sponsorship agreement, but this time no one dealt with the details. Thanks to the mediation of the sports marketing agency Sportfive, it was possible to sign a contract with six Bundesliga clubs at the same time. These are Bayer Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin, FC Augsburg, Arminia Bielefeld, Greuther Furth and VfL Bochum. IC Markets will receive advertising spots on LED bands in each stadium, as well as a logo and intellectual property rights.

"The eye-catching TV presence in the six Bundesliga clubs will contribute significantly to raising awareness of the IC markets in Germany as the primary market" - underlines Hendrik Schiphorst, CEO of Sportfive Germany.

Brokers as sponsors of sports and esports teams

This is yet another sponsorship agreement signed by Forex brokers with sports teams this year. In August, the T1Markets broker became a sponsor of the Argentina football team, while eToro once again - after two years - tied up with a club from the British Premiere League Aston Villa. The broker from Israel will be able to advertise on LED boards during the match and present the logo on all walls used, for example, during press conferences or interviews broadcast by television. 

Also for IC Markets, football sponsorship is nothing new. Recently became the official sponsor of the Serie A players of Inter Milan. 

Earlier, in 2017, a sponsorship agreement with Everton from the English Premiership was signed by Blackwell Global - at that time a broker with an annual experience in the following markets: British, Cypriot, Australian and New Zealand. The FxPro broker sponsors Watford FC, playing in the English Premier League. The same broker previously supported AS Monaco from the French league. Another club from the English league - West Ham - cooperated with two brokers. They were sponsored by both Hantec Markets and Scope Markets.

The biggest club that cooperates with brokerage firms is undoubtedly Real Madrid - multiple Spanish champion and winner of the Champions Cup. "Królewscy" have been associated with Exness for three years. From this season, the sponsor of the Polish champions of Legia Warszawa is Plus500, whose logo appears everywhere: on T-shirts, walls, advertising boards, billboards and even tickets for matches.
