Blockchain initiatives in Poland focus on gamification

Gamification is not a new concept. For years, it has been used in team management, recruitment, sales and internet marketing. Its idea is to activate the community to act, which is helped by mechanisms associated with computer games. These include collecting points, rankings or character development. It works especially well for the generation of millennials who play games and spend a lot of time on the internet from an early age.

The recently licensed cryptocurrency exchange known as Kriptomatthat launched a loyalty program called Dragon Riders of Kriptomat. He became the stock exchange partner in this project Enjin - a social gaming platform with over 19 million users.

Dragon Riders of Kriptomat loyalty program

The creators of the project announced their plans earlier this year, when information was released that the team is working on creating a reward system that will be based on a blockchain. The main idea was to entertain and engage the exchange's clients, rather than trying to buy their rather dubious loyalty. This can be done - as the developers claim - by giving users the opportunity to win valuable prizes. They are called Kriptomat Dragons, each with its own unique power. They can, for example, help to accumulate cryptocurrency or travel with the user to completely different worlds.

By other worlds we mean computer game worlds. Shortly after announcing their plans, the stock market agreed with several game developers who agreed that the dragons would be in their productions. Thanks to this, the Dragon owner can "take" him with him to his favorite computer game and use it during the game. Currently, the number of titles that Kriptomat cooperates with has expanded to 20, including games such as "Forest Knight", "Cryptofights", "Bitcoin Hodler", "Forgotten Artifacts" and "The Six Dragons".

Kriptos token

Exchange users can get tokens named for the Kriptos program. To get them, you need to make a certain number of trades on the platform. They can then be used to purchase specific items. Of course, the Kriptos are tradable, so anyone who doesn't enjoy collecting dragons is free to trade with other people.

Obtaining ingredients and playing computer games allows you to become a real dragon rider. The creators did not foresee limits on the number of ingredients that can be obtained or the number of games to be played. Importantly, the ingredients are traded on the open market, so you can make progress even faster and get your dream dragon faster.

The first prize-giving period lasted until mid-March. The users' interest was enormous - the exchange achieved the highest revenue growth in its history at that time, which increased by 194%. These data showed that the decision to use gamification was right and that this project is worth developing.

Copernicus mission

Another interesting project blockchainthat uses the idea of gamification is a social token CoperniCoin. It was initiated in Olsztyn, specifically in the Marshal's Office of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Office employees believe that the use of new technologies will help promote the region, in particular Copernicus Trail (hence the name of the token).

CoperniCoin is a token that is based on blockchain technology and uses the Waves platform. You can get it by performing various types of activities. These are, for example, completing the Copernicus Mission in Slavic Monsters, taking part in a quiz promoting the Copernicus Trail, or taking a selfie photo with the spirit of Nicolaus Copernicus and placing it on any social network with the appropriate tag.

Exchange of CoperniCoin for prizes

The tokens obtained can then be exchanged for awards. Among them we will find gadgets such as magnets and 3D key rings, thermal mugs and backpacks. The creators of the program also count on the fact that other institutions and entrepreneurs will join the project, thanks to which tourists or residents will be able to get discounts, for example in restaurants or accommodation facilities.

The Warmia and Mazury initiative shows that Poland is not a backward country when it comes to using new technologies. The project itself is also an extremely innovative undertaking on a national scale. It has never happened that someone tried to use blockchain technology in such activities.

The classic ways of motivating are no longer working, and people expect more. The gamification approach is innovative and definitely goes to today's consumers. Due to the fact that it slightly mimics the world of computer games, it is an environment for everyday functioning for many users. Gaining points, next levels or prizes motivates not only teenagers, but also people who have spent years in front of the console long behind them.

The combination of blockchain technology and gamification is a novelty in Polish reality. However, since blockchain is increasingly making its way into the consciousness of Poles, it can be assumed that initiatives such as the exchange loyalty program Kriptomat will there be more and more CoperniCoin in Warmia and Mazury.
