KNF: 79% of Forex traders suffered a loss in 2016.
Another statistics of earners on the Forex market saw the light of day. Among clients actively using "online" trading platforms with domestic Forex brokers, 79,3% recorded a loss. Thus, 20,7% of traders closed their balance sheet positive. The data covers the entire year 2016, and the audit was conducted by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF).
The message reads:
"These results, as in previous years, are based on the methodology based on the client's end-of-year result per balance, which is the result of transactions made on all classes of derivatives."
Earning in the long term harder
Quarterly reports presented by Polish brokerage houses, which are dictated by KNF guidelines effective from September 2016, show the situation in a better light. The report for the fourth quarter spoke about an average of 34% of traders who earned (read: Over 34% of traders gained in the Forex market). As life shows (and how it was possible to suppose), it is much more difficult to achieve long-term profit and this data is worse by around 42%.
