2012% of profit in a month - summary of the mForex competition

Last Friday ended the competition organized by the mForex broker with a total prize pool of 150 000 PLN. The rivalry took place on demo accounts using the initial deposit at the 10 000 PLN level and the 1 leverage: 100. From the beginning, the atmosphere was hot and after the first day some participants generated 3-digital rates of return.

Almost took part in the competition 8000 participants. This is a very impressive result, given that similar results can boast of brokers operating on international markets.

The winner was the user with nickname alex1which generated the rate of return in the amount 2012,21% and he took it from the 50 000 USD pool. The competition was fierce. He took the second place Trader1 with a slightly worse result at the level 1950,33% and thus will receive PLN 20 from mForex. Later the difference is bigger. To take third place, it was enough to generate “only” 000%. Considering that it was a demo competition, it cannot be said that it is an exorbitant level.

I also took part in the competition myself, but I have not entered into any transactions, which means that my result is 0%. Thus, it gives a reference point to how many more people ended their rivalry with bankruptcy or loss.

My position is 2151 (nickname raposo), hence the number of participants around 8000 can be deduced that quite a large number of people (about 25%) recorded a profit in their account. In competitions on virtual media, where usually risk control falls into the background, I am ready to say that this is a very good result.

Weekly rankings

In the weekly rankings, the spread in the rates of return is definitely bigger. This is due to the fact that it is not the initial capital from the start of the competition, but that from the beginning of the new week, that is taken as a reference point. This means that with a loss of 80%, PLN 2000 is left on the account and at the beginning of the new week it is the starting point. Therefore, it is enough to earn "only" PLN 10 to get a 000% rate of return.

The winners of weekly rankings generated:

• I week = 272,82%
• II week = 472,30%
• III week = 991,60%
• IV week = 588,67%

Technical aspects of the competition

The beginnings were not easy. During the first 4 hours, MT2000 servers experienced slight slowdowns and cuts. Their slowdown was the result of much greater interest on the part of the participants than the broker expected. mForex was preparing for 3000-XNUMX traders. So it is not surprising that the servers could not withstand it with several times greater load. Whatever the case, the technical department reacted very quickly and solved the problem in one day. Further competition was not disturbed by anything, and the leaderboard was refreshed flawlessly according to a cyclical schedule.

Official summary

For now, only the unofficial ranking has been published, but nothing should change in it. The final ranking will be presented on May 5, 2014.
