New entities on the BaFIN (Germany) and FCA (United Kingdom) list of warnings

created Paweł Mosionek11 March 2019

The British and German list of warnings has recently been extended rapidly. Regulators FCA and BaFIN in recent days have published new communications regarding illegally conducted investment activities by five entities.

FCA warnings

Companies that offer brokerage in Forex trading and contracts for differences have hit the "black list". These are Swift CFD (Digital Worldwide OU) and  Cashbery Limited (also functioning under names Cashbury International Limited and Global Decentralized Community). In both cases, the reason for listing the warnings is to conduct business without the required permits and licenses.

Additionally, FCA warns against Next Coin Market - an entity registered in Bulgaria that offers trading on the cryptocurrency market, mainly CFDs on Bitcoin, Litecoin and other popular virtual coins. The company informs on its website that it has the required FCA licenses, but the British regulator warns that this is not true, and the broker itself is operating illegally.

BaFIN warnings

German financial supervision is also not idle. A subject hit his list of warnings GPay Ltd. A company registered in Great Britain runs illegal activities in Germany related to offering trade on the Forex market and CFD instruments. For this purpose, it uses three similar websites: xtrader-fx.com; xtraderfx.com, xtraderfx.net. Due to the lack of required permits, BaFIN called for the company to cease operations in Germany as soon as possible.

Marihuana trading / Cannabis Trader

Last year, companies whose business is related to legal marijuana appeared on the market. Large capital following the business quickly raised the prices of companies basing their business on this segment. Selected brokers, wanting to follow the fashion, have made it possible to trade CFDs on the stocks of cannabis companies. Chances

The Cannabis Trader, which offers German residents CFD trades based on cannabis companies, went to the list of warnings from BaFIN. The reason for the message is the lack of authorization of these instruments by German supervision. Additionally, the fraud attempt may be provided by the address data of the company, which does not exist, and the Cannabis Trader domain is registered without providing the respective owners.

We warn against using the services of unlicensed companies. Before opening an account, always make sure that the broker has the appropriate regulations and permits from the indicated institution supervising the financial market.
