About the plans and future of InstaForex in Europe, Marcin Krukar [Interview]

New players are constantly appearing on the Polish market. It seems that our backyard is more and more often taken into account by large brokerage companies, due to the growing interest in trading on CFDs. Basic, standardized accounts are no longer the only tool traders need to trade. It is becoming more and more common on the market copy trading, dedicated analytical services or VIP accounts. I talked to Marcin Krukar from InstaForex. He is a manager with over ten years of experience in various business areas, incl. people management, financial management, sales and customer service. He is also a graduate of the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National Louis University in Nowy Sącz. He has been associated with the Instaforex broker since 2019.

Natalia Bojko, Forex Club: Marcin, InstaForex is one of the most popular brokers in Asia. Please tell me about the very beginnings of the company. How did you create the InstaForex brand?

Marcin Krukar, InstaForex: The company was founded in December 2007. A year later, the company found its niche in affiliate marketing and focused mainly on Southeast Asia. This decision hit the spot. The fact that InstaForex has remained one of the most popular brands in Asia for over 13 years is not a coincidence but the result of our team's hard work.

You are also getting louder and louder in Europe. What are your plans for this market? What news can traders expect?

Actually. We already have several branches and representative offices in Europe, and there will be more in the future. The whole area of ​​the EU is special. Here it should be mentioned that InstaForex.eu is of course a broker that is regulated in the EU, which only confirms our credibility. The short and medium term plan is to introduce shares, both in the form of CFDs and the underlying asset, as well as expand our CFD offering on cryptocurrencies and commodities. Are there any news for investors in the second half of 2021?

Of course, our team continues  works on improving our offer. Recently, we have introduced several innovations: a new VIP account and expanded the CFD list with new indices. One of the most important changes was the significant improvement in trading conditions as well introducing a zero commission for trading CFDs on indices na ECN accounts. As mentioned before, we are currently working on expanding the current stock and commodity list. We focused on the most important markets: American (NYSE, ARCA and AMEX) and European. Within Europe, we target 18 exchanges, including Deutsche Börse, London Stock Exchange, NYSE Euronext (Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Oslo, Paris) and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

If you were to choose one feature that sets InstaForex apart from other brokers, what would it be and why?

Peter Drucker used to say:

"Innovation and marketing are the basis of any business, the rest can be outsourced."

This fully applies to InstaForex, we were the first to launch MT5 accounts, trade copy and other features. Another thing is affiliate marketing. There's an old movie with George Clooney and Anna Kendrick called "In air". There they put a deadline "Glocal" as a combination of global and local. This is exactly how we treat affiliate marketing. We offer global solutions with the help of our super affiliates around the world. The key to successful affiliate marketing is paying more than the rest and being extremely flexible. All partners are unique - if you try to impose the same policy on all your partner entities, you are doomed to failure. At the moment, there are 3 types of partnership - CPA, CPL and CPC. Experience in the financial sphere is not necessary as the partnership mechanism is quite simple. In addition, our specialists are at the partner's disposal at every stage of his work.

You don't need to be a professional trader to make money like traders. You offer a platform for copying trades, so the investor will also find something for himself. Is copy trading popular? Or is it an addition to your business?

The fact that copying a trade is popular is not a surprise. Perhaps 1 percent of people are willing to devote their lives to professional trading. Millions of people are looking for ways to invest their money and copying is one of the better solutions.  It does not require time or knowledge and experience. We are currently working on another innovation that I haven't mentioned before. It will be called "On Your Side Portfolios" (we don't have a good Polish name yet), and it is based on a copying mechanism. We hope it will be a great alternative for passive traders.

What events do you feel will affect the markets the most and what investors will focus on.

2020 has been catastrophic for most industries around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on business. All predictions will be random in time. What is certain is that business will not return to normal until the population is vaccinated or immunized. We are clearly seeing a race between countries to vaccinate at least 70% of their population. Those who do it faster will have an advantage, their economy will grow faster and this will certainly be reflected in the financial markets. Permanent recovery will surely stimulate the demand for raw materials and agricultural goods. When lockdowns are lifted, people will want to come back to "Normality". We will witness greater mobility and the catering and hospitality / tourism industries will be the first to benefit from it.
