Trader of the month earned 40% in May. 1000 USD award

created Paweł MosionekJune 16 2017

Tickmill, a company regulated by the FCA, organizes a cyclical monthly Forex competition in which every trader can participate. The ranking of the most profitable traders has been conducted since the beginning of 2015. In May 2017, the best one turned out to be Jinyan, which received from the broker an award of 1 000 USD.

Over 200 transactions in a month

205 to be precise. That's about 10 transactions a day. Active trading ended with a profit for about 62% of positions and generated a 40% rate of return. Jinyan earned $ 18. The transactions were mainly day-trading and were concluded in gold, silver, oil and GBP / JPY, i.e. instruments with relatively high volatility. Some positions were up to 309,68 lots, and he made as much as $ 15 on one transaction.

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trading and how did your adventure begin?

At this point, two years. Everything thanks to my friend. I usually focus on short and medium-term trade.

What do you think are good trader habits?

The best solution is as many observations and as few transactions as possible. Implementing their excessive quantity does not necessarily mean generation of higher profits. At the end of the billing period, the money earned is counted, not the number of open trades.

What would you advise beginners?

Exactly what I said a moment ago - avoiding excessive trading. In addition, you should remember about capital and risk management. Stop loss is the basis of every item.

competition rules

The trader is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Overall, i.e. the factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
