Trader of the month in July with the effectiveness of 87% [Tickmill Contest]

created Paweł MosionekAugust 8 2017

Another month and the next winner receives the title of Trader of the Month in the competition for traders Tickmill. The main prize goes to Amira, which in July generated a rate of return at 35,48%. This gave him a profit of 15 000 $.

High efficiency way to success

Like Vladimir, who won the June edition, Amir can boast very high efficiency of its transactions. Out of 188 items, 86,7% of them ended with a profit. This is an amazing and rare result. When analyzing the transaction history of the trader of the month, a large variation in volume can be seen - from 0.1 lots for several lots, up to several hundred in the case of WTI crude oil. Most transactions were made on currency pairs with NZD, AUD and CAD. Interestingly, Amir has not opened a single position in major currency pairs. Transactions were held for a maximum of a few days, although many of them ended before 24 hours.

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trade?

He has been dealing in investing for four years.

How did your adventure with Forex trading begin?

I have invested on the stock market since the year 2007. I heard about the Forex market in 2010 year. I was interested in it, but at that time I could not take care of it. I returned in 2014 year, initially losing on several accounts to start making profits at a later stage.

What is your trading style?

I spend a lot of time to choose the right currency pair under the scalping. I also like to trade during important macroeconomic data.

Do you have any risk management policies?

Yes, I have. All my orders have a set SL level. Usually the level of my risk is 5% of the account, but sometimes it is bigger depending on the situation.

What good habits should investors be fooled about?

Adequate risk management and self-control are the keys to success. Emotions should be kept away. It is difficult but works.

Describe your best / most-remembered transaction (How much did you earn? What strategy did you use? On which pair?)

I carried out a detailed analysis of many couples, I looked at the trend on each of them. When I checked individual trends for each currency, I chose the strongest and the weakest one. I came to the conclusion that at that time the best option would be to open a sell position on a NZD / CAD pair. So I started scalping only in this direction. It brought me a good and safe profit every day.

What advice would you give to novice investors?

A lot to learn about fundamental and technical analysis. Understanding the principles of risk management in detail. Do not risk more than 5% account. Invest without pressure, no one was a millionaire in one session. Be patient and control emotions.

Considering the current market situation, what do you think data / investors should pay attention to?

Data on interest rates and employment rates are the most important data for each currency.

What is the most important thing you expect from a Broker?

1. FCA regulation.
2. A swap-free account.
3. Low transaction costs.
4. Effective and friendly customer service.

competition rules

The trader is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Overall, i.e. the factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
