Trader of the month - Deborah Honorato. 238% profit in November [Tickmill competition]

created Paweł MosionekDecember 10, 2017

In November, the best trader of the month, or rather a trader, was Deborah Honorato, who was awarded $ 1000 from Tickmill. This is the first woman to be ranked in the "Trader of the Month" competition. Deborah has shown remarkable precision and efficiency. She made just 20 trades which brought her a total profit of $ 8,324.80. The rate of return is an impressive 238%. The trader herself claims that she has a very conservative approach to trading, which would be perfectly in line with the female nature of taking risks.

Tickmill doubles the prize
From September 2017, the broker will be able to select not one and two traders of the month, where each of them will receive an award of 1000 $

18 with 20 position on Bitcoin

Bitcoin is dominant in Deborah's transaction history. As many as 18 out of 20 items were included on this instrument. Interestingly, 8 of them are short positions, on which the vast majority recorded a profit. The transaction volume ranged from 1.00 lots to 14.00 lots. Deborah traded in the afternoon or evening, with the largest single position gain of $ 2.

The remaining two items, except for BTC, were included in the USD / JPY pair with a much more modest volume (0.5 lot) and ended with less spectacular results (+ 71 $ and -8 $).

The trader herself in the interview did not give too much detail about her trade methodology. However, analyzing the statement, it can be seen that transactions lasting up to several minutes prevail, which were additionally rarely secured by Stop Lossem (and without TP).

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trade?

I started my adventure with trade 3 years ago.

How did your adventure with Forex trading begin?

One of my friends showed me the market.

What is your trading style?

I use a very conservative strategy.

Do you have any risk management policies?

Yes, capital management is very important.

What good habits should investors be fooled about?

They should analyze the graphs being maximally focused.

Describe your best / most-remembered transaction (How much did you earn? What strategy did you use? On which pair?)

I do not remember specific values, it was definitely a transaction on cryptocurrencies.

What advice would you give to novice investors?

As one of my friends and my teacher, Wagner Teodoro says: "It's better to lose the opportunity than money."

Considering the current market situation, what do you think data / investors should pay attention to?

In principle, I do not take macro data into account, I focus mainly on my strategy.

What is the most important thing you expect from a Broker?

Good customer service, fast payouts and low spreads.

competition rules

The trader is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Overall, i.e. the factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
