Watch out for the IC Markets clone! And for 22 other entities [Scam Alert]

created Paweł MosionekJanuary 12 2022

British financial supervision, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), warns of a clone of a popular international Forex / CFD broker - IC Markets. Most of the illegally operating sites have already been blocked, however, nonetheless, we advise you to be vigilant when visiting the broker's site as the scammers certainly haven't said the last word yet.

In addition, we publish as many as 22 other notices warning against illegal entities that are warned by regulators from Great Britain, Malta and Hong Kong. Details below.

IC Markets clone made by scammers

This practice is used more and more often. Regularly, scammers try to use names, logos and websites that are confusingly similar to legally operating entities to extort funds from unaware investors. This time their choice fell on IC Markets - one of the largest retail brokers in the world.

The warning applies to four domains including: www.icm-market.com, www.i-cmarketz.com, www.icmarketpro.com, www.ic-forexmarket.com. Each of these sites has been marked as unauthorized, and the FCA announcement states:

“These sites are not authorized by us and their services are aimed at people in the UK. You will not be able to access the services of a Financial Services Ombudsman, nor will you be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), so it is unlikely that you will get your money back if something goes wrong. "

And as for the latter, we have no doubts.

How to recover funds from a fraudster

MyChargeBack.com is an American company specializing in the recovery of funds extorted by unreliable companies and "scams" pretending to be honest Forex brokers, binary options brokers and cryptocurrency projects. We warn against using the services of unlicensed companies. Before opening an account, always make sure it is correct the broker has the appropriate regulations and permits at the indicated financial market supervisory institution.
