Beware of Tickmill.fish - it's a scam!

created Paweł Mosionek30 Września 2021

Beware of scammers pretending to be a multinational company Tickmill. We received information about the functioning of the website www.tickmill.fish, which has nothing to do with the activities of the popular Forex broker. The scammers had no qualms about using the original naming and logo of the Tickmill broker in the domain address and in the graphic design itself. We adhere to and call for vigilance.

Watch out for Tickmill.fish

Scammers pretending to be legitimate companies are not new, and this problem does not only apply to the Forex industry. Scammers more and more often try to impersonate public trust institutions, such as the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, but also large corporations such as courier companies or banks. Forex brokers also face this problem. Just a week ago we informed you about an attempt to scam Admirals customers (ex-Admiral Markets) involving the phishing of data to investment accounts under the pretext of closing the business by the company.

This time, the choice of scammers fell on Tickmill. A website with the .fish ending, although it is rather sparse in information, for less experienced traders may suggest that we are actually dealing with a broker. At first glance, we can see the original logo, advertising slogans, there is even access to current quotes and address details - these just lead to Malaysia. So it can be assumed that the scammers come from the Asian region.
