Free market or government interventionism? Meeting with Dr. R. Janik

On January 19, 2023 at 18:00 p.m., the Warsaw Stock Exchange trading floor will host meeting with Dr. Rafał Janik, the author of two volumes of "Books about investing". The conversation in the heart of the Polish capital market will be an opportunity to discuss the rough friendship between investors and state-owned companies, as well as to get to know the author and his publications. He will be a participant Daniel Jaworowicz, founder of a bookstore and stock exchange publishing house maklerska.pl and editor of many publications on investment topics.

There will be a 30-minute pre-event guided tour of the building of the Warsaw Stock Exchange in Warsaw, which will be carried out by the GPW Foundation.

Dr Rafal Janik

dr Rafał Janik – author of books, articles and creator of didactic tools devoted to financial markets and economics. In 2019, he defended his doctorate with honors at the University of Gdańsk (thesis on the efficient market hypothesis and stock exchange recommendations). Present on the stock exchange since 2006. He also runs a data analytics and business consulting company. He is a member of the supervisory board of one of the computer game developers listed on NewConnect.

Daniel Jaworowicz

Daniel Jaworowicz – founder of the bookstore and stock exchange publishing house maklerska.pl, which he has been running since 2006. During this time, he edited and published over a dozen publications in the field of investments, five of which won the title of publication of the year at the InvestCuffs gala in Krakow.

You will learn the history of this place and see what the heart of the Polish capital market looks like inside. During the tour, facts and events from the history and life of the stock exchange will be presented. You will see the figure of a bull, the Hall of Quotations and the characteristic bell. An employee of the GPW Foundation will guide you around the building. Advance bookings are required.
