XTB lowers the spreads on selected CFDs by up to -40%

created Paweł MosionekJuly 6 2021

The constantly growing competition and at the same time better financial results meant that XTB broker decided to reduce transaction costs on the popular ones CFDs. The reduction in spreads in percentage terms even up to -40%. What will we save on? About it below.

Competition is awake, and neither is XTB

In the last year, the fees of many brokers on popular CFD instruments have gone down. Although they were often symbolic fees, it's hard to disagree with the statement that traders are specialists in counting money ;-). Hence, a small change in fees for many transactions does matter. The German index is very popular among retail speculators DAX, S & P 500, and Petroleum. In the case of DAX, the fight between brokers for the favor of day-traders is extremely fierce. Hence, among others IC Markets decided to reduce fees from 1.0 pips to just 0.5 pips, Tickmill do 0.75 pips.

X-Trade Brokers SA is still slightly more expensive, but it went a step further and covered a much larger group of instruments with the "discount".
