XTB acquired 4 new customers in January 480

In January, XTB gained over 4 new customers (data for the whole XTB groups). This is a historic result since the beginning of the company, i.e. for over 15 years.

Only in December 2019, the number of new customers was 2954 (estimates for the entire XTB Group). January turned out to be record-breaking not only compared to previous months, but it is also historically the best month in terms of the number of new customers since the beginning of the company.

150 thousand customers around the world

In 2019, the Group recorded a record number of new clients amounting to 36 555 against 20 672 in the comparable period, which means an increase of 76,8%. This is the result of continuing the optimized sales and marketing strategy, the gradual introduction of new products to the offer, such as CFD instruments based on sector indices, shares and ETFs, as well as expansion into new geographic markets. In turn, the average number of active customers was higher by 5 303 compared to 2018, i.e. by 24,9%. The intention of the Management Board for 2020 is to further increase the client base. This is confirmed by the data for January 2020, in which the Group gained a record number of new customers, i.e. 4.

After the product intervention, our main business goal was to increase the number of new customers and I am glad that in 2019 we were able to achieve this goal. With each new quarter, we managed to break the previous record and, importantly, we managed to start 2020 with the next record, this time monthly. This result is the result of our optimized sales and marketing strategy and the company's global development. We approach the new year with a lot of motivation and many new goals and ideas that I hope will be appreciated by our customers - says Omar Arnaout, president of XTB.

Currently, XTB has almost 150 customers worldwide (data for the entire XTB Group) and offers its services on 000 markets (Poland, Germany, France, UK, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Cyprus, Chile). Every day, over 12 transactions are made on the proprietary xStation platform (data for the entire XTB Group).

KNF, TJS and ESMA not afraid?

One could assume that recent events and the industry situation will not favor XTB. Case with asymmetry and a financial penalty imposed by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority it has still not been resolved, but the recent court rulings were not favorable for the company and the financial penalty was paid. The ESMA product intervention introduced in August 2018 did not help either, which forced European brokers to include reduction of leverage.

Meanwhile, it seems that the worse moments, and even a period of stabilization, are over and XTB has started to go a long straight (this also suggests the latest financial report). Other market players also feel an improvement Tickmill or CMC Marketswho boast of a clear increase in the profitability and profitability of their businesses.
