Zonda is licensed in Canada as the first European cryptocurrency exchange

Zonda, one of the largest in Europe cryptocurrency exchanges, which already has one million active users, announced today that it has become the first European exchange to be licensed to operate in Canada. License granted by Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center of Canada (FINTRAC), gives Zonda the opportunity to act in the country as Money Services Business (MSB). The obtained license obliges Zonda to fulfill specific obligations in the field of combating money laundering and counteracting the financing of terrorist activities in Canada.

All this means that soon Canadians will be able to safely trade over 60 cryptocurrencies and tokens in pairs with fiat currencies (EUR, USD, GBP and PLN), stablecoins (USDT and USDC) as well BTC i ETH. These opportunities will be available in accordance with the law, thanks to the regulations governing Zonda as an exchange operating under an Estonian, Swiss and Canadian license.

This is the first country that has proactively approached the regulation of the world of cryptocurrencies - already in 2014 it passed the act on digital currencies. Since then, he has consistently maintained an open approach to the cryptocurrency sector, while ensuring the safety of investors. Applying for a Canadian license was a natural step for us as part of the global expansion plans that we are systematically implementing. Ultimately, we want to be present all over the world, acting everywhere within the framework of appropriate legal provisions.
