Another company from Forex industry entered into an advertising contract with a famous football club. This time the partner of French champions Paris Saint Germain is the HotForex broker. It is known that the contract will be in force until the end of the 2020/2021 season, but its size has not been disclosed yet.

Footballers Paris Saint Germain they are the champions of France and also one of the best club teams in the world. It has crowds of fans not only in Europe, beautiful traditions, constantly strong line-up and wealthy sponsors. The HotForex broker has just joined them, which will cooperate with PSG at least until the end of the 2020/2021 season.

As part of the cooperation, the broker currently servicing over 2,5 million investor accounts from around the world will be able to advertise its brand and promote its services on all digital platforms of the French club. Earlier, he signed a similar contract with the Brazilian team Santos, but playing in esports competitions, thus entering the world of gaming with his offer.

“We are extremely proud that HotForex is becoming an official partner of Paris Saint-Germain. This partnership provides an exciting opportunity to bring together two brands that are recognized around the world for their commitment to excellence. Together, we hope to set new standards and offer our customers and supporters a unique product. Thanks to this cooperation, we will be able to offer our wonderful customers VIP tickets, unique gifts and events " HotForex CEO George Koumantaris said.

Brokers have been entering the sports industry for a long time

This is not the first contract of a Forex and CFD company with well-known sports teams and athletes themselves. HotForex already in 2017 signed a contract with the then star of German and European football - Michael Ballack. Agreements with brokers have leading football clubs from Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Ukraine and Turkey.

In 2017, Blackwell Global signed a sponsorship agreement with Everton from the English Premiership - then it had only been operating on the British, Cypriot, Australian and New Zealand markets for a year. Earlier, a sponsorship agreement was also concluded by another club from the English Premier League - Watford FC, which was associated with the broker FxPro, so far sponsoring AS Monaco from the French league. Currently, the sponsor of AS Monaco is eToro. Another club from the English league - West Ham - cooperated with two brokers. They were sponsored by both Hantec Markets and Scope Markets.

In 2017, the broker also sponsored one of the best and most recognizable football teams in the world - Real Madrid. The “Królewscy” team then associated with Exness for at least three seasons. The contract is still in force.

We already have the first contract in Poland. Plus500 became the main sponsor of the country's champions - the Legia Warszawa football team.

Brokers are trying to take advantage of the fact that both sports competitions and the Forex / CFD market are, in fact, intended for the same target group. The data shows that about 95% of traders are men - the same is true of football fans, and they mainly visit football stadiums and watch matches on TV. The fans are also getting richer - matches can be watched even in exclusive boxes, the lease of which at the largest stadiums costs even several hundred thousand euros a year.

However, things do not always go well. Broker IC Markets is no longer a sponsor of Inter Milan, after breaking the contract by the authorities of the football club. It was due to pay 4,5 million euros in the first year, 4,8 million euros in the second and 5 million euros in the third year of the contract - a total of 14,3 million euros. The Italian sports portal Calcio e Finanza  however, it said Inter Milan had canceled the contract, citing the sponsor's failure to fulfill its obligations. Inter claims that IC Markets made an initial deposit under the contract (2,5 million euro) but made no further payments in line with the contract. What's more, IC Markets also sued Inter - for the return of 2,5 million euros paid. The first hearing in the court in Milan was scheduled for April 14, 2021.
