What is a VPS?

First, let's explain briefly what is VPS for people who have never met him. It's short for Virtual Private Server, i.e. a private server, which in practice is a physical machine, divided into several smaller ones and distributed on-line. VPSs may differ in their hardware parameters (processor, RAM, disk space size, etc.) and the installed operating system. In other words, you can say that a VPS is a virtual computer on which we can, for example, install and run the Forex platform. And thus we smoothly move on to the next question.

VPS will not be useful for every investor, but it turns out that they can have some interesting applications in trading for a selected group of recipients. These are:

Optimization of the order fulfillment process

As a rule, VPSs (depending on their location) have a very positive effect on the broker's order handling time. By shortening the distance and ensuring a more optimal data flow between the platform and the broker's server, we can even count on shortening the transaction execution time several times. We are talking about savings counted in tens of milliseconds, which may seem ridiculous to some - until they delve into scalping, news trading or HFT. It is for traders using these types of strategies that execution time is super important and can make a significant difference to your bottom line.

Increased trader mobility

Mobile platforms on our smartphones it is already standard. But their functionality still remains very limited. What if there is a way to access our full-size platform from anywhere in the world?
