created Forex ClubJuly 1 2023

Brokers with the best mobile platforms is a common choice among traders who like to have the market at their fingertips anytime, anywhere. There are no official statistics, but it can be assumed that in times when practically everyone has their own smartphone, the use of mobile platforms has already become a standard.

What does it mean use? Even if a trader only trades on a desktop or laptop computer, they probably already have a mobile trading app on their mobile device. It usually serves for viewing, analyzing, tracking current market events and macroeconomic publications. Currently, mobile trading platforms are no longer just simple charts with buttons BUY-SELL but developed applications that allow you to fully manage your investment account (e.g. deposits, withdrawals), expand your knowledge (database of educational materials), perform extensive analyzes and monitor economic indicators on an ongoing basis.

Features of a good mobile platform

For a modern mobile platform to be considered good, it must have several elements. Of course, let's not count on finding an ideal that will meet the requirements of all traders, which can be very diverse. However, we can highlight a few features. These are:

  • clear and intuitive interface,
  • reliability and speed of operation,
  • access to unique features,
  • functional charts.

Due to the fact that practically every trader has had contact with classic platforms such as MT4, MT5, cTrader, we will completely omit them from this list, focusing on unique applications that offer traders unique and less common features.

#1. XTB application - The best and comprehensive

xtb mobile app 1Mobile version of the platform from XTB to really good product. The complexity of solutions, express and reliable operation as well as functionality and intuitive operation are at a very high level and deserve a podium. The application works entirely in both screen orientations (horizontal, vertical), provides access to market news, additional tools (e.g. market sentiment), is equipped with high-quality educational materials, gives you the ability to manage finances and account data, and trading on it is super easy. Chart support? Probably the best we've dealt with. Everything works as it should. If you haven't tested it yet, it's high time to catch up and check it out on DEMO. Minuses? Probably only a small number of AT indicators available if anyone needs it.

#2. Plus500 application - for fans of technical analysis

plus500 mobile app 1Broker mobile platform Plus500 to a good option for traders who value advanced chart analysis. The interface does not overwhelm, and at the same time offers a whole spectrum of possibilities. Everything is in place and works very smoothly. The most impressive is the charts module, which allows you to perform a really professional analysis (but only in landscape orientation). There are as many as 13 types of price presentation, over 100 AT indicators, 22 drawing tools and even a tick interval. On the downside, you can include quite inconvenient transactions. There was also a lack of any kind of additional modules that could enhance the overall perception of the platform by users.

#3. Interactive Brokers application - for advanced and more

interactive brokers mobile app 1Average design, relatively slow, sometimes even non-intuitive… So why is the IBKR mobile platform from Interactive Brokers on this list? Because offers truly unique and interesting toolsthat other apps can only dream of. EventTrader, Impact Lens, access to Trading Central, built-in IBot assistant, advanced information on available instruments, unusual timeframes, approx. 100 AT indicators, market depth or unique chart management options (only available in landscape orientation) ... These are just these the most important, because it could be exchanged for a long time. A small warning - the application will be mainly used by more experienced traders.

#4. eToro application - long-term investments and social trading

etor mobile app 1Platform eToro looks great visually and provides unique solutions. However, it is definitely not prepared for active or demanding traders. The handling of charts or making transactions is greatly simplified, which clearly indicate what kind of users the application is for. The community of traders and the exchange of information between them is an important point of this product. If you trade occasionally, build your diversified investment portfolio, trade long-term or plan to start so-called social trading, then the eToro app is just what you need.

eToro is a multi-asset trading platform. The value of your investments may rise or fall. Your capital is at risk.

Mobile trading and reality

Can a mobile platform replace trading from a classic computer? Yes and no. Everything depends on our needs and predispositions. For traders using simple investment strategies, mobile solutions may be sufficient. The same can be true for people who rely on pending orders. However, if we prefer dynamic trading or want to do full-scale technical analysis, view many different instruments at the same time, then smartphone applications will certainly lose this battle in favor of computer and desktop platforms.

Let us remember, however, that mobile platforms are primarily a supporting tool that can be used not only to conclude transactions, but above all to monitor the dynamically changing market situation or control open positions. Therefore, it is still worth having them installed on our phone.
