To Kwon wanted by Interpol - issued "red note"

created Michał Sielski27 Września 2022

He promised to come at every call. He assured himself that he had nothing to reproach himself for, and hard facts spoke in his favor. And of course he had a great plan repair and resurrection of Luna and Anchor. And now he's gone so Interpol has issued a red note behind Luna founder - To Kwon.

The red note means that all countries cooperating with Interpol must start efforts to stop it. Because the founder of Terraform Labs is probably no longer in South Korea or Singapore. Authorities admitted that he was elusive.

Are you looking for Do Kwon in Singapore?

Officially Until Kwon was supposed to be in Singapore recently. But the country's authorities have already confirmed that they have no idea where (if that's true). Therefore, Interpol issued a red note, which is an international signal to all countries to detain him on behalf of the country that is looking for him.

Is he escaping to Kwon or waiting?

The arrest warrant for Do Kwona was in fact issued by South Korean authorities two weeks ago. Everything seemed to go smoothly as the founder and CEO of Terraform Labs was to be at his home in Singapore. It turned out, however, that he was not there. The Korean prosecutor's office even uses the straightforward phrase that he is constantly escaping from law enforcement agencies and is "on the run".

- I'm not in any race or anything like that. For any government agency that has shown an interest in communication, we are fully cooperative and have nothing to hide. We are in the process of defending ourselves in many jurisdictions, holding to an extremely high level of integrity, and looking forward to clarifying the truth in the next few months - emphasizes Do Kwon.

However, it is easy to read between the lines that she is simply hiding from investigators. Most likely, he has a plan to escape arrest to free himself. The problem is that the case is dealt with by the best investigators of the prosecutor's office in Seoul and if they decided to charge, inter alia, tax fraud and illegal fundraising, they must have strong evidence.

However, this is not all of the problems of the founder of Terraform Labs. An international group of hackers also announced that they would "get" to Do Kwon Anonymous. They announced that they would expose all illegal activities of Terraform Labs.

Fall of Luna, TerraUSD and Anchor

Recall: the Do Kwona arrest warrant was issued four months after the collapse of the Terra ecosystem along with the Luna and algorithmic token with stablecoin TerraUSD (UST), which ended up evaporating about $ 40 billion from the market.

The arrest warrant is based on an accusation of breach of the Capital Markets Act. The same article issued a warrant for the arrest of not only Terraform Labs CEO Do Kwona, but also his two closest associates in Singapore: Nicholas Platias, co-founder of Terraform Labs, and Han Mo of the management team.

TerraUSD (UST) was even the third largest stablecoin in the world this year. In mid-May, however, a tragedy began for its owners. The algorithmic stablecoin began to rapidly move away from the 1: 1 parity with USD. TerraForm Labs representatives made a mad attempt to restore parity. To that end, their associated Luna Foundation Guard has been sold billions of dollars in Bitcoinach (BTC) while issuing additional Luna tokens, which in the ecosystem with Anchor were to be a security for the stablecoin.

However, it did not help, and the prices of Luna and UST hit the bottom. The unit value of both tokens has dropped to almost zero. Investors lost virtually all of their money.

Then Do Kwon announced a reconstruction plan, which was based on the issue of another cryptocurrency. Luna was also used to create the Luna Classic, which has seen significant increases in recent days, but according to many analysts, they are only speculative.
