The development of computers is progressing at an alarming pace. In the past, they occupied entire floors of buildings, and their operation often required an entire team of specialists. Currently, almost each of us carries a device in our pocket that has a processing power millions of times greater than the on-board computers of Apollo 11 - the vehicle that put people on the Moon for the first time in history. Even at the beginning of the XNUMXst century, experts were skeptical about the ability of artificial intelligence to recognize natural human speech.

Virtually all predictions about artificial intelligence made in the last century are now outdated. Today, there are more dissatisfied people who claim that, for example, "artificial intelligence will never have emotions" or "artificial intelligence will not be self-aware" - which will probably be verified by reality – Petros Psyllos points out during the debate. However, will artificial intelligence invest in financial markets?

The AI ​​revolution in finance

In the world of investments, the use of complex algorithms, machine learning or neural networks is nothing new. Particularly focused on the development of artificial intelligence tools, among others: banking sector – AI is already used, for example, in contacts with customers and examining their needs. But will artificial intelligence cope with investments?

People are so bad at predicting the future that it will be easy to create tools - if not now, then soon - that will constitute a great prosthetic for the human brain. (…) Artificial intelligence has also repeatedly demonstrated genius in truly creative tasks. An example is the duel between the AlphaGo algorithm and Lee Sedol - the famous move number 37. Even the creators of the algorithm believed at the beginning that the program had made a terrible mistake. Several dozen moves later, it turned out that this move was absolutely brilliant and no one had suspected that it was possible to play Go so creatively. – admits prof. Andrzej Dragan.
