Netflix above expectations, content reigns supreme. 2,4 million subscribers came

After 2022, so far tiring for Netflix, investors breathe a sigh of relief as it seems that its fortunes may be reversed. After the subscriber drop, for the first time in its history, Netflix exceeded expectations and gained 2,41 million subscribers in QXNUMX. The content once again proved to be the most important and became the reason why Netflix recorded such good results this quarter - from Stranger Things do Cobra Kai.

Netflix positively surprised with the results

Revenues for the quarter jumped 5,9 percent to $ 7,93 billion, and earnings exceeded expectations at $ 3,10 per share. So, while Netflix is not growing at the same pace it did a few years ago - it's back on track.

Although overall it was a strong report, forecasts for the fourth quarter did not impress, showing that the future will not be all rosy. The strong dollar continues to weigh on revenues and gains, with a Q0,36 profit forecast of 1,20 cents per share, while Wall Street's estimate is $ 4,5. However, the main focus of investors' interest are subscribers, whose number is expected to increase by XNUMX million in the fourth quarter.

Another point of interest for investors will be the company's new advertising tier. While this model may not have a significant impact until 2023, it seems Netflix may find the key to its growth to new levels.
