It took place on Friday, November 17 eighth edition of XTB Investing Masterclass – the largest free online conference for investors. The event participants were treated not only to numerous lectures by recognized market practitioners, but also to a number of debates with the participation of experts in fields such as geopolitics, artificial intelligence and finance. Dr. Jacek Bartosiak tried to answer the question about the direction in which the current world is heading, and the opportunities and threats related to AI technology were debated Petros Psyllos and prof. The main topic of last year's edition of the XTB Investing Masterclass was inflation. Due to the unprecedented cycle of interest rate increases by major central banks, this is slowly no longer scaring investors. Market participants are increasingly paying attention to artificial intelligence technology, which has not only led to a small revolution in public awareness, but also contributed to the emergence of a new market trend. Shares of companies such as Nvidia and C3.ai have gained hundreds of percent this year alone, and the world's largest economies are in the race for technological supremacy. Is AI a great revolution or another speculative bubble?

Geopolitics and its impact on finance

Which industries and companies will benefit from AI revolution? How to use seasonality and speculators' positions when investing in raw materials? What are the benefits of global investing and why should you not be afraid of a bear market? These and other questions were answered during the first part of the XTB Investing Masterclass. Practitioners discussing their views on markets included:

• Trader21 – investor, author of the Independent Trader blog,
• Marcin Tuszkiewicz – investor, financial analyst, co-creator and CEO of an innovative application for stock market investors,
• Rafał Glinicki – trader, expert in the Volume Spread Analysis methodology and practical approach to trading.
• Mieczysław Siudek – former investment fund manager, student of trading legend Bryce Gillmore

However, the second part of this year's edition of the XTB Investing Masterclass provided a broad look at the current geopolitical situation, its impact on the global economy and the potential repercussions of further development of artificial intelligence technology. During it, event participants had the opportunity to listen to a talk by Dr. Przemysław Kwiecień, chief economist of XTB z Dr. Jacek Bartosiak – founder and owner of the Strategy&Future think tank, publicist and popularizer of geopolitics and international relations. The two talked, among other things, about a potential clash between the two largest economies in the world, i.e. the United States and China, and the direction of the conversation was set by a well-known journalist, Krzysztof Stanowski.

Artificial intelligence – a great revolution or another speculative bubble?

The innovator and the inventor debated the development of artificial intelligence, the opportunities and threats related to this technology, as well as the probable scenarios for its use, Petros Psyllos and a famous physicist, prof. Andrzej Dragan. AI technology is penetrating everyday life more and more quickly - the sight of automated shopping assistants no longer surprises anyone. However, will we reach a point where humans will no longer understand the motives and actions of AI? Recent months have been associated with a dynamic growth trend of companies developing artificial intelligence technology. An economist and a mathematician also talked about the potential winners of this race for technological supremacy and companies that can revolutionize the market thanks to the use of AI.
