On Monday, November 5, the Central Bureau of Investigation detained 19 people suspected of extorting over PLN 18 million. This is a continuation of the effects of activities aimed at eliminating the practice under the unofficial banner of "nerd hunters". The detainees have already been charged with participating in an organized criminal group and conducting activities in the field of trading in financial instruments without the required permits issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.

Cypriot roots, Czech workers

Several companies were targeted, including GKFX Financial Services sp. Z oo, Gonoma Finance sp. Z oo, Sonoma Polska sp. Z oo, Seremar sp. Z oo, Covederal Holdings Limited sp. Z oo operating in exclusive Warsaw office buildings at Al. Jerozolimskie and ul. Grzybowska. The detained persons are mainly Czech citizens who worked as a client manager and manager who were directly involved in the investment process of the injured clients.

Iwona Jurkiewicz, CBŚP spokeswoman:

“The platform's representatives contacted potential investors, offering products to ensure a very high profit, often reaching several dozen percent. Initial investment successes encouraged clients to make further payments. Then, unsuccessful investments were proposed, which resulted in the reset of the accounts of the aggrieved. After some time, contact with the company's representatives ceased. "

The property belonging to suspects with a total value of over PLN 1,5 has been secured against threatening fines.

Loss from 3 thous. up to PLN 2

forex fraudThat is how he was shot in lost capital per client. At the moment, as a result of the actions of the above-mentioned companies, the losses suffered by the injured may amount to over PLN 18 million. How is this possible?

The criminal procedure was simple - the company tempted potential customers with high and even guaranteed rates of return on invested capital. We are talking about gains of 20-30% per ... week. Trust and a sense of security were to build the company's image as an international Forex broker, many years of market experience and the care of an analyst or broker supervising the actions on the investment account.

As it turned out, experienced "brokers" turned out to be young people, without any knowledge about finances, who acted on the advice and guidelines received from their superiors.

CBŚ reported that:

"The money paid by investors to the accounts of the companies was, without any investment, transferred abroad, incl. to entities in Hong Kong, UK, Czech Republic, Marshall Islands and other countries. Telephonists for recruiting people who decided to "invest" funds received high commissions, in the order of several dozen percent of the payment made by the "investor". "

At the moment, the Central Bureau of Investigation does not rule out further detentions and emphasizes that the investigation is of a developmental nature. People injured as a result of the activities of the captured "sucker hunters" are constantly being sought, and the total size of the losses generated by them may increase.
