Trader of the month, Mirosław, earned in October 41 000 PLN [Tickmill Competition]

created Paweł MosionekNovember 8 2017

This time, Mirosław, a Pole, stands on the podium in the Trader of the Month competition. In October, the Polish trader generated a rate of return exceeding 16%. This number may not be impressive, but the initial deposit was over a quarter of a million! This gave him over 40. PLN profit with 334 transactions and efficiency over 70%. This is a brilliant result, considering that Mirosław traded manually by scalping the market.

Tickmill doubles the prize
From September 2017, the broker will be able to select not one and two traders of the month, where each of them will receive an award of 1000 $

100 lots per position, no SL - crazy?

The history of the Polish investor's transaction is astonishing. He made transactions both on the main currency pairs and stock exchange indices. EUR / USD, GBP / USD and DAX dominate. However, we also see USD / CAD, the Spanish IBEX 35 index (Spain 35), and even a few Bitcoin transactions. The time of "life" of the position is on average a few minutes, but there are also positions lasting several seconds, as well as several hours. You can also see transactions that were short-lived and ended with a small loss - this shows that Mirosław has a specific trading plan and is ready to cut smaller losses.

The volume varies from 0.5 lots to even 100 lots for the DAX. Interestingly, none of the positions has a set SL level, but it is possible that Mirosław used a “hidden” Stop Loss.

  • Return: 16,2%
  • Total number of transactions: 334
  • Profitable transactions: 71,26%

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trade?

For almost three years.

How did your adventure with Forex trading begin?

When I accumulated savings, thanks to which I can live more easily, I decided to spend some of them on Forex trading and classic investing in shares.

What is your trading style?

I prefer scalping on the Forex market.

Do you have any risk management policies?

Risk management is very important. When you allocate a significant percentage of your savings to Forex, keep in mind that you have a strong risk control. It is not allowed to allow high capital losing, eg 10-15%. When you spend the smaller part of your savings, you can increase the level of risk and enjoy the benefits of leverage.

What good habits should investors be fooled about?

Be patient and wait for occasions. You should not make transactions at any time, just wait for the signal corresponding to your strategy.

Describe your best / most-remembered transaction (How much did you earn? What strategy did you use? On which pair?)

As I remember correctly, it was a transaction on the German DAX index after the referendum in Great Britain. I earned around tens of percent then.

What advice would you give to novice investors?

Be patient and not give in to emotions. Improving your strategy.

Considering the current market situation, what do you think data / investors should pay attention to?

Decisions taken by central banks are definitely the most important information for investors.

What is the most important thing you expect from a Broker?

Low spreads and quick execution, without slippage.

competition rules

The trader is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Overall, i.e. the factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
