Trader of the Month, Uchenna, earned over 15 000 $ in September [Tickmill Competition]

created Paweł MosionekSEPTEMBER 9, 2018

Trader of the month - September 2018

Uchenna - a full-time investor for 2 years - was selected as the best trader of September. In over 180 transactions, he managed to generate a profit in excess of USD 15, which translated into a return rate of 000%, counting from the account balance as of September 165. Congratulations!

How did he do it? About this below.

Tickmill doubles the prize
From September 2017, the broker will be able to select not one and two traders of the month, where each of them will receive an award of 1000 $

Cross pairs are not so scary

Transaction history available in the link below provides a lot of interesting information. Uchenna often used pending orders like Stop Buy / Sell when making a transaction. Interestingly, only (or as much as) around 50% of the position was defined as Stop Loss, while practically all had Take Profit. Transactions were usually closed before 24 hours.

Profit or loss on a single position was usually relatively small. Only a few items have been closed with a profit exceeding 1000 USD. It can be concluded that high efficiency is responsible for the success with a large number of transactions with a gradual increase of the rate along with growing capital. Uchenna used the volume interval between 0.1 lot and 5 flights.

The variety of instruments was considerable. Currency pairs dominated, including the more exotic ones, such as EUR / AUD, EUR / CAD, CHF / JPY, CAD / CHF, GBP / CAD or AUD / CHF. In the history of the account, the main currency pairs are "trace" in nature. Occasionally, transactions were also concluded in precious metals.

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trade?

I am a full-time trader since 2 for years.

How did your adventure with Forex trading begin?

Before the friend showed me the Forex market, I was a member of the online marketing group. I did not know much about currency markets then.

What is your trading style?

I am a swing trader and intraday trader. I am also looking for patterns and structures, I also invest like Market Makers.

Do you have any risk management policies?

Yes of course. I have an effective way to manage risk.

What good habits should investors be fooled about?

Risk management and patience.

Describe your best / most-remembered transaction (How much did you earn? What strategy did you use? On which pair?)

The most memorable item was when I bought XAUUSD and closed with a profit 2530 $. It was a break from the channel during the day.

What advice would you give to novice investors?

Patience and discipline are definitely rules to be followed, as well as routine and rituals. You should be disciplined in applying your strategy and using risk management principles.

Considering the current market situation, do you think that traders trading in macro / news trading data should keep an eye on it?

Data on employment in Canada.

What is the most important thing you expect from a Broker?

Spreads, regulations and good customer service.

competition rules

The trader is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Overall, i.e. the factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
