A trader named Leonardo, who hails from Venezuela - a country dominated by hyperinflation - showed that the impossible does not exist and was hailed as the Trader of the Month in the March edition of the competition Tickmill.

The magic of compound interest worked!

To start with, Leonardo has only 2 years of trading experience. This makes the result he achieved even more amazing. March started with an account balance not even exceeding $ 2. All transactions were for one instrument - XAUUSDwhich is gold. Trading started calmly, with the volume calculated in mini lots and gradually, along with the increasing balance of the account, it also increased the value of transactions. Eventually, from 0.1 lots, he reached the level of 6.5 lots. Were there any problems? Of course. After only 3 days, a transaction took place that took Leonardo's account balance down to the minus and took almost 50% of the output to date. But then, for each step back, there were at least two steps forward. As a result, the capital curve was climbing skyward.

The risk was kept in check all the time - most of the transactions had a Stop Loss and Take Profit set, and with each bigger profit a part of the profits was paid out. "Parts" this is the key word, because most of them remained on the account and were reinvested anyway. Transactions usually lasted from several to several dozen minutes. Virtually no item was held overnight. Meticulous adherence to the plan, appropriate risk management and an effective strategy resulted in an amazing result and a staggering rate of return of 3800%.
