Smart Trader University is on the KNF's list of warnings

created Paweł MosionekJanuary 5 2022

New year, a Polish Financial Supervision Authority is not slowing down and has today added 3 new entities to the list of warnings, including Smart Trader University from Katowice. The warning also applies to GTD Market sp. Z oo with its seat in Krakow and Crowd Tech Ltd. (owner of the Trade360 brand). Details below.

Smart Trader on the list of warnings

Smart Trader University is a company registered in Katowice (KRS 528547), whose president is Mariusz Puszczało. Its name is very similar to the activity carried out by Tomasz Rozmus from smarttrader.pl - however, there is no indication that it was about activities carried out under this website.

What is the reason for listing Smart Trader University on the list of public warnings? The KNF announcement states that the reason is the notification concerning the suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 178 of the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments, i.e. conducting activities in the field of trading in financial instruments without the required permit or authorization. The proceedings were initiated by an entity not indicated in the announcement, and the case is being conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.

Unfortunately, there is no specific point in the article indicated in order to be able to make specific reasons.

Trade360 and GTD Market on the KNF list

GTD Market sp. Z oo with its seat in Krakow and Crowd Tech Ltd., which owns the Trade360 brand (www.trade360.com), were also in the infamous group. Interestingly, in the case of Crowd Tech Ltd., we are not dealing here with an anonymous, yet another ghost scam, which has been a real boom in recent years. This company has been operating since 2013 has a Cypriot CySEC license, which is still active, and is described on many Polish financial websites.

The reason for including both of the above-mentioned ones on the list is the same as in the case of Smart Trader University, i.e. the notification regarding the suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 178 of the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments, without indicating a specific point. Again, the proceedings were initiated by an entity not indicated in the announcement, and the case is being conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
