The zloty recovered after a short panic on Tuesday and Wednesday

Major U.S. stock market indices, which reached their highest levels in almost 2 months during yesterday's session, fell yesterday (S&P 500 -0,83%, DJIA -0,12%, Nasdaq Composite -1,54%). Today in the morning, contracts for these indices were recovering some losses (S&P 500 +0,33 percent around 9:40 am).

Drops in markets in Asia and Oceania

The equity markets in Asia and Oceania were slightly down today. Hang Seng fell the most (-1,15%), which at the end of October was at the lowest level since 2009, but in the last two weeks it was the most rising main index in the world. The largest increase was recorded by the Indonesian JCI (+2%).

German in Europe DAX (+0,62% around 9:45 am) and French CAC40 (+0,1%) remained close to its last 5-6 month highs.

On a European background WIG-20 was quite weak this morning (-0,79 percent around 9:45). Among the components of sWIG 80, the prices of Unimot shares reached their highest level in history this morning, while the price of Shoper shares was the lowest in its history, which started last year.

The yield on 10-year Polish government treasury bonds fell again this morning to below 7 percent. The U.S. 10-year yield rose slightly this morning, but stayed just below 3,7%.

Precious metals are cheaper

Slightly Oil futures fell today (WTI -0,36%, Brent -0,14%), and their prices remained close to three-week lows. Futures on precious metals slightly decreased this morning (gold -3%, silver -0,22%, platinum -0,96%, palladium -0,01% around 0,82:9).

The Japanese yen gained slightly this morning against the US dollar (USD / JPY -0,31 percent approx. 9:25). EUR/USD was stable (-0,02%) and stayed slightly below 1,04.

The Polish zloty made up for the losses suffered on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning as a result of a brief panic caused by information about the fall of a rocket launched from across the eastern border on Polish territory, which resulted in the deaths of two Polish citizens. Today in the morning the zloty continued to gain slightly (EUR/PLN -0,14%, USD/PLN -0,11% around 9:25 AM).

Bitcoin's exchange rate against the US dollar, which has fallen briefly below USD 16000 three times in recent days, reaching the lowest level in 2 years, today at approx. At 9:20 it was down 0,55 percent. below $17000.
