EToro broker sponsors AS Monaco players

created Michał SielskiAugust 27 2020

Company eToro signed a sponsorship agreement with the leading club of France and Europe - AS Monaco. The broker will support the sporting pride of the principality for at least one season. This is another deal linking great sport with Forex market.

The contract was signed with the possibility of extension and probably amounts to several or even several million euros for each season. However, the exact amount has not yet been disclosed. It is only known that the logotype eToro will appear on the sleeves of soccer jerseys, so eToro will not be the team's primary sponsor. However, you also have to pay dearly for such a place in the league belonging to the world Top 5.

“Our club, like eToro, strives for dynamic development and wants to discover new horizons. AS Monaco also focuses on innovation and technology, so the partnership with eToro will help us achieve the ambitious goals of our club " - says vice-president of AS Monaco Oleg Petrov.

eToro - through sport to investors

Multi-country eToro has been offering access to Forex, Stocks, Commodities and Cryptocurrencies since 2007. According to recent estimates, it already has over 16 million active clients from around the world. It recorded a gigantic increase this year, and its rapid development was due to the introduction of the investment opportunity for people from Great Britain and other European countries in mid-2019.

As a result, eToro today employs 850 people and operates in over 100 countries. The website is available in 22 languages, including Polish. The company is worth approximately $ 1 billion. No wonder that he spends more and more money on marketing.

Its advertisements can also be easily found in Poland, but in addition to being present in electronic media, it also focuses on sport. It sponsors football teams from Great Britain, motorcycle Grand Prix and the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Now is the time for a football team from the French league.

“AS Monaco is one of the most prestigious clubs in French football and many of the club's fans are eToro customers as well. The cooperation with the club is to help eToro in attracting new football-related clients. They share common values: respect, hard work and team spirit " - says Valerie Kalifa, marketing director of eToro France.

Brokers and big sport

eToro is not the only broker that focuses on marketing by sponsoring sports teams and events. All the largest companies on the market operate similarly. The reason is simple: 95% of traders are men, just like sports fans, but in recent years you can see more and more women, but men are still in the lead in the stands.

In August an agreement with the champions of Poland - Legia Warsaw - signed the broker Plus500. For now, however, he has not healed Polish club football, because the Warsaw players were eliminated in the second match of the Champions League qualifying round, definitely losing to the Cypriot Omonia Nicosia.

Another broker - IC Markets - has recently become the official sponsor of the Serie A players from Inter Milan. He will pay 10 million euros a year for a small logo on the sleeves of the shirts of the Italian Premier League club.

There are also brokers among the sponsors of English extra-class clubs. Blackwell Global has been the sponsor of Everton playing in the Premiership since 2017. Broker FxPro it sponsors Watford FC, and previously supported AS Monaco. West Ham has worked with two brokers: Hantec Markets and Scope Markets. The money from the Forex market also flows into the coffers of the legendary Real Madrid, which has been sponsored by Exness for three years.
